During the SNEC Conference & Exhibition 2023 in China’s Shanghai, TaiyangNews caught up with the Founder and Chairman of China’s GCL Group Gongshan Zhu on May 24, 2023 in an exclusive interview as part of TaiyangNews & SNEC Solar Leadership Conversations.
In conversation with TaiyangNews Managing Director Michael Schmela, Zhu shared background on the company’s history, expanding into solar modules and project development from being a pure-play silicon and multi-wafer manufacturer in China.
Attributing the company’s innovative streak for being an early adopter of new technology, Zhu discussed GCL’s plans to go the whole hog with an investment in perovskites and the technology’s growth in the future that can even challenge TOPCon and heterojunction at some point.
