AMS, which stands for Advanced Material Solutions, is a new vertical of the Creative Group based in Surat, Gujarat, with businesses spanning textiles, engineering, real estate, polyester films, and materials. Through AMS, the group is focusing on serving the solar cell and semiconductor industries in India and across Asia.

At Renewable Energy India Expo 2025 (REI 2025) in Greater Noida, TaiyangNews Senior Editor Anu Bhambhani spoke with Chairman of AMS Group Jayesh Mistry and Managing Director Jayesh Panchal about AMS’s role in India’s solar and semiconductor ecosystem.

The executives highlighted a major gap in India for specialized service providers offering technical expertise, materials, and controlled supply systems for solar and semiconductor manufacturing. AMS, they explained, aims to address this by providing integrated solutions, including gas and chemical control equipment, specialty gas supply, operations support, and training for critical applications.

They noted that India is at an early stage compared to markets such as China, which has developed these capabilities over the past decade. However, with supportive government policies and growing domestic manufacturing, India is expected to build expertise and scale up production over the next 3 to 4 years.

AMS has a nationwide presence with offices across all regions of India. The company is also developing a new specialty gas manufacturing facility in Surat, which will produce a range of specialty gases locally under a joint venture with an international partner. These gases, manufactured and certified to international standards, will cater to both solar cell and semiconductor manufacturers, supporting the 'Made in India' initiative while reducing reliance on imports, added AMS executives.

TaiyangNews is coming back to India with the 2nd edition of the Solar Technology Conference India (STC.I 2026) on February 5 and 6 next year. The event will bring together the who’s who and emerging players in the Indian solar PV manufacturing space. Details are available here
