How much further can today’s solar cell technologies advance, and what comes next? The TaiyangNews High-Efficiency Solar Technologies Conference returns in November 2026, bringing together leading manufacturers, equipment and materials suppliers, and researchers for our annual flagship online event.
Held over three consecutive Fridays, this year’s conference connects the latest advances in TOPCon and back-contact (BC) technologies with a new focus on next-generation PV and space solar. From improving established production processes to exploring new cell concepts and demanding applications beyond Earth, the event will examine pathways to higher efficiency, competitive manufacturing, and reliable performance.
The first day focuses on TOPCon, exploring how innovations in cell processing, materials, equipment, and module design can unlock further performance gains and cost reductions. The second day turns to BC technologies, examining their efficiency potential, manufacturing progress, and opportunities for broader commercial adoption.
For the first time, the conference’s third day brings together next-generation PV and space solar. This session will explore emerging technologies and the requirements for using photovoltaics in space, opening a discussion on how advances in efficiency, weight, and durability could create new opportunities for solar technology – at a time when even data centers in space are being considered.
