  • Yingli Solar promotes three new series of PANDA 3.0 modules: Ocean Star for offshore PV applications, Roof for distributed PV, and Bifacial Double-Glass for utility projects
  • The Ocean Star series modules are designed to withstand harsh environments, such as strong winds and high-salt-mist environments
  • The Roof series modules are lightweight and have a pureblack design, making them ideal for commercial and residential applications in Europe
  • The Bifacial Double-Glass series modules are large in size and have high bifaciality, making them ideal for utility power plant projects.

Yingli Solar from China presents its latest upgraded PANDA 3.0 series modules. The company launched 3 new series of modules during SNEC and showcased at Intersolar 2023: Ocean Star for offshore PV applications, Roof for distributed PV, and Bifacial Double-Glass for utility projects.

The Ocean Star series modules are based on Yingli Solar’s PANDA 3.0 n-type TOPCon high-efficiency technology and are supported by a full set of saltmist and corrosion-resistant BOM. The modules are designed to withstand harsh environments, such as strong winds and high-salt-mist environments. These modules are already in mass production and are in active use.

The Roof series, featuring lightweight, pureblack modules, is mainly promoted for European commercial and residential applications. The aesthetic design, coupled with a lightweight frame, facilitates easy installation and reduces roof load. The better low-light response contributes to longer operational hours and high bifaciality improves the power gain up to 30% compared to conventional products, says Yingli. The Bifacial Double-Glass series modules are designed for utility power plant projects. The modules are large in size and have high bifaciality, which can effectively utilize the scattered and reflected light in the environment for power generation.

They are also weather-proof and can withstand harsh environments, such as sand storms, rain, snow, and extreme heat and cold. These modules have already gained global acceptance and are widely deployed in numerous projects worldwide, according to Yingli. Also, European survey agency EUPD Research presented Yingli Solar with the SolarProsumer Award. This honor comes shortly after EUPD recognized Yingli Solar as the Top Brand PV at SNEC for the company’s performance in key PV markets such as Brazil, the Czech Republic, the Middle East, and North Africa.
