US based solar tracker manufacturer Nextracker has secured solar industry veteran Arturo Herrero as the senior vice president for its Europe and Latam business. He changes his job from another solar tracker manufacturer, GameChange Solar, where he was the US headquartered company's chief business development officer.
Herrero comes to Nextracker after having worked with some of the most renowned brands in the global solar PV industry. Apart from GameChange Solar, Herrero has worked with British oil and gas major bp at a time it was a solar pioneer active in PV module manufacturing, and leading Chinese solar panel manufacturers Trina Solar and JinkoSolar in various capacities.
Part of the Singapore based electronics manufacturing company Flex Ltd, Nextracker has been planning to get listed as a publicly traded company. Recently, Flex announced it has entered an agreement with TPG Rise Climate to sell $500 million of convertible preferred equity. Flex and Nextracker have also entered a separation agreement to formally separate the operations of the 2 businesses (seeFlex Spinning Off Nextracker Business). Herrero had joined both Trina Solar and JinkoSolar, when they were still relatively small companies, and helped ramping sales in preparation of their IPOs and beyond.
