BluEarth Renewables, the Canada-headquartered independent power producer (IPP), has announced the appointment of its new President and CEO, Arun Banskota, with effect from February 2, 2026.

He comes to BluEarth with over 30 years of experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors in Canada and the US.

Before joining BluEarth, Banskota served in a similar capacity at Canadian utility Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp., where he oversaw renewable power generation and regulated utility operations. Among his previous roles, he served as vice president of project development at First Solar/OptiSolar and in senior-level roles at Amazon and NRG Energy.
