Indian renewable energy company Azure Power Global Limited’s search for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has ended at Harsh Shah who will join the company with effect from July 1, 2022.

He also has financial knowledge as he was the chief financial officer (COO) for both IndiGrid as well as Sterlite Power.

“I am happy to join Azure Power at a time when we see an exciting and momentous market opportunity as the industry implements energy transition in India,” stated Shah, “We have tremendous runway for growth to increase our operating assets sustainably, thanks to the support of our long-term investors and lenders.”

Recently, Azure Power secured expression of interest (EOI) for 1.7 GW solar, wind and hybrid renewable energy assets in Karnataka (see India PV News Snippets).
