
German renewable energy company BayWa r.e. has expanded its leadership with the addition of Maria Röske as the new CEO of BayWa r.e. Nordics AB who will be responsible for the company's Nordics project business.
Currently, Röske is working as the Managing Director of a Sweden based onshore wind farm planner and developer wpd Scandinavia AB, and will come to BayWa 'in the coming months' with an experience spanning 2 decades.
At BayWa, she will be responsible for the company's existing wind and solar power projects in Sweden, and will also oversee its expansion plans into more markets in Nordics.
"Sweden is a key market for BayWa r.e. and Maria, together with Håkan Wallin from our Nordics Services business, will play a vital role in driving forward our ambitious expansion plans in the region," said BayWa r.e.'s Director of Wind Projects EMEA, Lorenzo Palombi. "The focus will be on significantly growing our wind and solar projects pipeline, as well as bolstering our team to achieve this."
Management said the company continues to build a pipeline of several hundreds of MWs in different stages of development in both wind and solar in Sweden.
