Once the Head of Group PV Power Plants for Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE, Boris Farnung has now joined German rooftop solar PV company Centroplan GmbH as its chief business development officer from March 2023.

Farnung worked with Fraunhofer ISE for over 12 years in various positions till September 2020 with his last position being the head of group PV power plants. He moved to Germany based quality assurance and certification firm for renewable energy sector, VDE Renewables where he was the global head power plants and systems for more than 2 years.

Centroplan touts itself as the one-stop-shop for solar-paneled roofs. It provides planning, construction on turnkey basis, maintenance and operation services for all projects targeting commercial and industrial sector.

Announcing his move in a LinkedIn post, Farnung said, "I am so excited to be part of this dynamic and inspiring team and to further support the unstoppable growth of Centroplan and the PV industry in Europe."
