US based independent power producer (IPP) Silicon Ranch Corporation has brought on board a new Chief Development Officer (CDO) in the form of Boris Schubert, who represented Shell on the solar company's Board of Directors once.
Backed by Shell as a major stakeholder, Silicon Ranch counts over 4 GW of solar and storage portfolio in the US that's either contracted, under construction or operational across the US and Canada.
As CDO, Schubert will lead the company's project inventory growth across the US, advancing its carbon solutions business including Silicon Ranch's acquisition Clearloop. He will also lead strategic procurement efforts for the company.
As a Shell representative, Schubert had a strategic advisory role to play for Silicon Ranch, according to the latter's Co-Founder and CEO Reagan Farr who added, "We are confident that his robust industry experience, combined with his leadership style and unique insights into what differentiates Silicon Ranch, will enable Boris to deliver tremendous value to our organization and to our stakeholders."
Before Shell, Schubert has worked with Q Cells and Accenture among others. He has also served on the advisory board of the Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) and the National Board of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA).
