  • Phoenix Solar is not planning to replace Cameron

PV systems integrator Phoenix Solar has announced that its Executive Board Member Dr. Murray Cameron has left the company with effect from January 1, 2017.

Cameron left the Germany EPC after 13 years when his contract expired. Under his leadership, the company expanded internationally opening subsidiaries in Italy, France, Spain and Greece. He also negotiated the 75% participation in the Joint Venture in Singapore.

In the beginning, Cameron was the President and CEO of Phoenix Solar, Inc., later he was heading the newly established US subsidiary. On the occasion, Group CEO Tim Ryan said, “For 13 years, Dr. Murray Cameron played a critical role in developing our international footprint, establishing and actively managing multiple subsidiaries around the globe. His contribution to our global reputation for building high quality solar PV systems on time and on budget has been and remains invaluable. He remains in our circle of trusted network friends and we wish him the very best of luck for in his further endeavors.”

The company has decided not to bring in a replacement for Cameron. Ryan will continue to be the Group CEO and Manfred Hochleitner will be the Group CFO.

Cameron will continue to assist the company for another 6 month in a consulting position.

On behalf of Phoenix Solar, he has also served as a board member and VP for the European solar sector association SolarPower Europe.
