Elevate Renewables, a prominent US-based utility-scale battery storage developer and an ArcLight Capital Partners portfolio company, has announced the appointment of Joshua Rogol as its new Chief Executive Officer. ArcLight, a leading investor, has been investing in critical electrification infrastructure since its founding in 2001.

Elevate Renewables, with significant resources and a development pipeline of over 4 GW, is strategically positioned across major US power markets to develop and operate battery storage infrastructure. This appointment comes at a time when the company is looking at further strengthening its position in the fast-growing energy storage market and also on capitalizing on emerging opportunities in AI-powered data center infrastructure.  

Enthusiastic about the appointment, Rogol said, “I am excited to join Elevate and ArcLight at this pivotal moment in the battery storage industry. Rogol, a seasoned leader in the renewable energy sector, brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as President of Strata Clean Energy, where he was instrumental in scaling the company into one of the nation’s largest independent battery developers and operators.

Eric Cherniss, who was previously serving as President of Elevate, has been promoted to Head of Development at ArcLight, marking a strategic alignment within the organization.
