France's Akuo Group has secured the services of Nicolas Couderc as the company's new chief operations officer (COO) with effect from January 2023 who previously worked with EDF Renewables for some years in various positions.
Akuo says it plans to start construction and financing of 1.5 GW of solar and wind power projects in 10 different countries as it develops a total portfolio exceeding 20 GW. Couderc will be brought on board to support the acceleration in growth as anticipated by the management.
"Nicolas Couderc is a recognized leader in the renewable energy sector and, as such, will enable us to accelerate the writing of a new chapter in our history," said Chairman and Co-founder of the Akuo Group, Eric Scotto while welcoming the company's new COO.
Before joining Akuo, Couderc worked with EDF Renewables, the renewable energy arm of French energy giant EDF, for 9 years. While leaving EDF Renouvelables in December 2022, he was the company's executive vice president in France.
He is also a member of the board of the French Renewable Energy Association SER since October 2016.
