Green Lantern Solar,  a commercial scale solar PV and storage company in the US,  has announced the appointment of Geoffrey Sparrow as its new Director of Development for Eastern New England region. Green Lantern develops solar projects on ‘low-value’ sites as brownfields, landfills, quarries/pits/extraction sites and other challenging real estate, by working with the landowners.

Sparrow will be joining the Vermont based company from Revision Energy where he served in a senior leadership role as the director of engineering. Having 15 years of experience in the renewable energy space, Sparrow has been developing and executing commercial and utility scale solar projects in New England since 2005.

This experience, Green Lantern management said, will come in handy when Sparrow expands the company’s business of development, acquisition and construction strategy to renewable energy markets in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

“He will be instrumental to our success as we expand our proven model of developing, financing and constructing high-impact renewable energy projects for schools, municipalities, health care, and commercial and industrial customers,” said Green Lantern’s CEO and Principal Founder Luke Shullenberger.
