- Iberdrola has bundled all its business activities in Germany under Iberdrola Deutschland
- It is headed by Felipe Montero as the CEO who worked with Iberdrola previously for over 9 years
- Iberdrola Deutschland will also offer development and operation of solar PV along with PPAs tied to its renewable energy assets in Germany
Working on a ‘360° model’, energy group Iberdrola brings back Felipe Montero to lead Iberdrola Deutschland that’s created to bring all of the Spanish company’s business activities in Germany under a single brand, including the development of solar PV projects.
For this new corporate opportunity, Montero returns to the Iberdrola group where he worked for over 9 years in different positions with Iberdrola Renovables. He left the group to work with Canada based Northland Power’s Taiwan offshore wind business for 3 years.
About Montero, the management stated, “He is now returning to Iberdrola as CEO of Iberdrola Germany to implement the ambitious growth plans set by Europe’s largest electricity supplier in Germany.”
Established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Iberdrola, Berlin headquartered Iberdrola Deutschland operates in the space of development and operation of offshore and onshore wind and solar PV systems. It also offers long-term power purchase agreements (PPA) linked to the company’s own renewable energy assets.
Portfolio management services and on-site PV solutions also fall in the ambit of the company’s portfolio, as do green hydrogen for industrial use and battery storage solutions.
“Combining all activities under one roof with an integrated 360° business model allows us to offer our customers and partners the best products and services to achieve their decarbonization goals, while leveraging the potential of the global Iberdrola Group,” said Montero.
The leadership team of Iberdrola Deutschland also comprises Managing Director Offshore and Deputy CEO Iris Stempfle, Managing Director Onshore Martin Stolle and Managing Director Customer Solutions Sven Wolf.
