Indian solar PV manufacturer Alpex Solar has announced a slew of changes to its top leadership team, including the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the form of Aditya Sehgal, as it gets ready to expand its manufacturing capacity.
Sehgal brings to the role his experience in developing complex robotic technologies, automated solutions and advanced battery systems. An Electrical Engineering graduate from the University of California, Sehgal was part of Tata Power Solar Systems Limited’s drone engineering team during his internship days. He has been serving as the company’s director since November 2023.
Additionally, Alpex’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Satish Kumar Gupta has now been announced as the additional non-executive director. His position has been filled by Amit Ghai who comes to the group with experience spanning 20 years in various industries, including manufacturing.
Alpex said these changes are part of its broader strategy to advance growth, innovation, and sustainability within the solar PV panel manufacturing sector.
Last month, the company announced the appointment of Gaurav Bector as the global head of its EPC business as it undertakes a global expansion strategy.
Alpex launched itself on the National Stock Exchange Emerge (NSE Emerge) in February 2024, having raised INR 745.2 million ($8.9 million) in funding for growth CapEx and working capital, representing 303 times subscription. It will use the proceeds to expand its solar module manufacturing capacity from 450 MW to 1.2 GW in the existing facility and build a new production facility to produce aluminum frames for its solar modules.
