Indian solar cell and module manufacturer Waaree Energies Limited has appointed Sanjeev Pushkarna as the company’s new chief procurement officer (CPO).  

Pushkarna will play a significant role in fortifying the company’s position in renewable energy solutions, said Waaree.  

“I believe that the energy sector’s evolution hinges on supply chain challenges, and I am excited to contribute to Waaree Energies Limited’s endeavours in improving the vital aspect of supply chain management,” said Pushkarna. “With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we aim to position Waaree Energies Limited at the forefront of the energy transition journey.” 

According to the management, Pushkarna will contribute to the company adopting effective practices in supply chain management and creating sustainable procurement policies.  

Before joining Waaree, Pushkarna worked with Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy where he moved from ABB. Waaree touts a solar module production capacity of 12 GW as of June 30, 2023.    

Pushkarna’s appointment follows a slew of new hires for the senior management at Waaree including a new Chief Marketing Officer and a new Chief Executive Officer earlier this year (see New Chief Executive Officer For India’s Waaree Group).
