- Guo replaces Zhiqun Zu who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities
- A PhD from the UNSW, Guo was till recently the vice president of the company’s solar cell division
Chinese solar cell and module producer JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. has announced the appointment of Dr. Jiun-Hua Allen Guo as the company’s new chief operating officer (COO). He has replaced Zhiqun Xu, who resigned from this position, with immediate effect.
JinkoSolar said Xu will be leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
Guo has been with JinkoSolar since 2012 and till recently was the vice president for quality system. Previously he held various other positions in the company including as the vice president of the solar cell division. Before JinkoSolar, Guo worked with Topcell Solar International as its president and CTO.
A PhD in electrical engineering from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), among his other accomplishments, Guo is a member of the editorial board of Progress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications.
“We believe Dr. Guo’s extensive experience in the industry and within JinkoSolar will significantly enhance our ability to successfully execute our strategy,” said JinkoSolar CEO Kangping Chen.
