Wei ‘Dimi’ Du has been announced JinkoSolar’s new CEO with effect from August 26, 2026
He succeeds Xiande Li, who will continue to lead the group as the Chairman and oversee board governance
Du has held strategic investment and chairman-assistant roles at JinkoSolar since 2021 and most recently served as vice president of strategic investment
JinkoSolar Holding has announced a leadership transition, with Xiande Li stepping down as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the solar PV and energy storage manufacturer, effective August 26, 2026. Wei ‘Dimi’ Du has succeeded Li as the CEO.
Li will remain Chairman of JinkoSolar’s board and will continue to lead its compensation and nominating and corporate governance committees, said the manufacturer. The company said the change is part of a planned succession process.
“As we enter the next phase of development, this arrangement allows me to focus on our long-term strategy, board governance, and major strategic decisions, while our new CEO will lead management in overseeing day‑to‑day operations, strategic execution, and capital allocation at the group level,” stated Li.
Du most recently served as JinkoSolar’s vice president of strategic investment since April 2026 and has held several strategic investment and chairman-assistant roles at the company since 2021. JinkoSolar management welcomed Du to lead the company as the CEO.
Li added that Du’s experience in strategic investment and portfolio management makes him an ideal candidate to lead the company’s operations across its core solar and energy storage businesses, and strategic investment activities.
Xiande Li took over as the CEO of JinkoSolar in December 2020 following the resignation of Kangping Chen (see Senior Management Changes Announced By JinkoSolar).
