The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of 8point3 General Partner LLC, Mark Widmar, has been replaced by Bryan Schumaker, who will assume the position on July 5, 2016. Widmar resigned from the CFO role on June 21, 2016, but will continue to be a member of the board.

The changes were announced by 8point3 Energy Partners LP, a YieldCo vehicle of SunPower and First Solar, on June 21, 2016 in a US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing.

Schumaker has been working with First Solar since 2008 and was serving as the chief accounting officer since July 2015.

All the shuffling and replacing was initiated by First Solar, which used its right to request the removal of any officer that it had designated for 8point3. Widmar’s leave coincides with his new job as CEO of First Solar, which he will start on July 1, 2016 (see First Solar Management Change).

At the same time, Joe Kishkill, President-International of First Solar, who is set to leave the company, was removed from the board of directors of 8point3 General Partner. Alexander Bradley will enter 8point3 General Partner as a board member on July 5, 2016. He will also become board member of the project operations committee from the same date.

Max Gardner, Vice President Project Finance (North America) for First Solar, was brought on board as vice president of operations for 8point3General Partner.
