Lightsource BP Hires New Senior Executive In Poland

The Director of Polish Association of Photovoltaics, Irena Gajewska has announced she has joined British solar power projects developer Lightsource bp as its government affairs lead for Poland since October 2022.

“I feel truly privileged to be working in a company named world’s largest solar developer at the time when the geopolitical situation has given quite a new dimension to the clean energy transition,” said Gajewska on her LinkedIn account.

Before the Polish Association of Photovoltaics, Gajewska worked as the vice-president of the RE-Source Poland Hub and Polish Wind Energy Association for several years.

One of the world’s largest solar power developers and the solar energy vehicle of oil and gas giant bp, Lightsource bp ventured into the Polish market in October 2021 with the a co-development deal for 757 MW with a local renewable energy firm, and announced plans to further expand here (see Lightsource BP Expands In Europe, To Poland).
