Ireland headquartered renewable energy company Mainstream Renewable Power has shuffled its senior management team with the appointment of Mary Quaney as the Group CEO. This is Quaney’s elevation from group CFO, a post she has held since 2017. Quaney is also part of the company’s Board of Directors.
Her appointment is effective immediately as after Andy Kinsella put in his papers. Kinsella served mainstream as the CEO since 2016. While the management did not share any specific reason for Kinsella’s leaving the company, Executive Chairman Dr Eddie O’Connor acknowledged his commitment and wished him well for future.
“I’m delighted to announce the appointment of Mary Quaney to lead Mainstream through the next phase of our high-growth trajectory. Mary brings significant experience and a record of success that will be critical as we continue to build the company across the world as the transition to renewable energy accelerates,” said O’Connor. “Mary will be supported by our Chief Operations Officer Bart Doyle and the Global Leadership Team that is so admired within the industry.”
Before joining Mainstream, Quaney held senior level positions with Trinity Biotech and Pricewaterhouse Coopers as per her credentials on LinkedIn.
In July 2019, Mainstream got Asia Pacific CEO of Germany’s Juwi, Raghuram Natarajan, to head its own Asia Pacific business as the CEO (see Juwi APAC CEO Switches Over To Mainstream).
