Meyer Burger Technology Ltd has hired a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Nathalie Benedikt, who will assume her new role with the Germany based solar cell and module maker with effect from January 1, 2022. She will also be a new addition to the company’s Executive Board.

Benedikt comes to Meyer Burger from German vacuum generation and measurement company called Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG.

At Meyer Burger, Benedikt will be responsible for handling the company’s finance, controlling, IT, risk management and investor relations functions. She will also help strengthen the company’s strategic focus as a global manufacturer of high-efficiency solar cells and modules, and also fortify its international orientation.

Benedikt will take over from Jürgen Schiffer who joined Meyer Burger in October 2020 after having worked with solar companies such as Conergy and Q-Cells (see Meyer Burger Gets New Chief Financial Officer). The management did not explain the reason behind the short stint of Schiffer as the CFO, but thanked him for initiating the reorganization of the company during the transformation phase.

“We are very pleased that with Nathalie Benedikt we have been able to win an internationally experienced and competent CFO for the further expansion steps at Meyer Burger,” said Chairman of the Board of Directors Franz Richter.
