US-based solar and energy storage projects developer, owner and operator Vesper Energy has brought on board Monica Opderbeck as its senior vice president of corporate development. 

Before joining Vesper, Opderbeck served as the AVP, Head of Commercial Origination for the North American development pipeline at the wind, solar, storage and transmission company Pattern Energy Group, where she worked for over 4 years until her exit in 2024. Her work experience also includes Wells Fargo, where she worked for over 12 years in various positions, primarily focusing on renewable energy tax equity investments.

According to Vesper management, Opderbeck brings her expertise in principal investing, capital raising, financing, business development, and strategic deal execution to her new role. 

In her new role, Opderbeck will oversee the planning and execution of strategic initiatives to expand the company’s corporate growth.  

Welcoming her to the team, Vesper Energy Co-CEO Mark Rostafin said, “Her ability to drive strategy and forge strong relationships with top-tier financial partners will be instrumental in accelerating our growth and supporting our mission.” 

Vesper Energy says its development pipeline comprises more than 55 renewable energy and energy storage assets with a generating capacity of 17 GW.
