UK based utility scale solar energy projects developer Eco Energy World (EEW) has got itself a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). James Hunter's appointment follows that of Panagiotis Sarris as the company's COO in February 2022.
Hunter comes to EEW from UK wealth planning group IWP where he helped execute a buy and build growth strategy for the company. He should be replacing Henry Hall who joined the company on June 1, 2021 as CFO.
Welcoming Hunter, EEW's Chief Executive Svante Kumlin said, "His appointment is a clear statement of intent of our plans to continue our aggressive growth strategy. He has a proven track record of creating value for businesses of all kinds, including those with similar trajectories as EEW."
Hunter's appointment is aligned with the company's strategy to grow internationally, including to the US. EEW currently touts a portfolio of 1.3 GW utility scale solar developed in Europe, Australia, the Middle East and Africa.
In March 2021, it also entered the green hydrogen space announcing a 200 MW hydrogen plant in Australia at the same location where it has developed a 300 MW solar power project (see UK Solar Developer Entering Green Hydrogen Space).
