Singapore headquartered solar PV panel manufacturer Maxeon Solar Technologies has announced the appointment of the company's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Kai Strohbecke who will assume his responsibilities on March 15, 2021 once the company files its annual report.
Strohbecke will succeed current CFO Joanne Solomon who will retire on May 31, 2021, after an orderly transition of duties, stated the management.
Having worked in the semiconductor industry for 26 years, Strohbecke comes to Maxeon Solar from Micron Technology where he was the company's vice president finance and global operations controller. He has also worked with Taiwanese memory semiconductor manufacturer Inotera Memories, Infineon and Siemens Semiconductor Group.
"We are thrilled to have Kai join our leadership team at Maxeon. His extensive international experience leading finance organizations in large technology manufacturing companies will serve the company and our shareholders well," said Maxeon Solar Technologies CEO, Jeff Waters. "Kai's business acumen and his experience as a public company CFO make him the right choice to lead our finance and IT organizations, and to continue the momentum that Joanne has created around our strategic growth plans."
Strohbecke will be stationed in Singapore, and report directly to Waters.
His appointment follows several other senior level appointments the module maker has been making to expand its leadership team post becoming an independent public entity listed on the NASDAQ (see Maxeon Solar Expands Senior Leadership Team).
