

RenewSys has announced Rajesh Singh as the CEO of its Encapsulants & Backsheets business
The company said Singh's experience spans more than 20 years in solar PV technology, manufacturing, and product development
Singh was previously the Chief Technology Officer of the group
RenewSys India has appointed Rajesh Singh as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Encapsulants & Backsheets business, effective July 1, 2026. Singh moves into the new role after serving as the company's Chief Technology Officer CTO).
As the CTO, Singh led technology development, product innovation, and manufacturing improvements across the encapsulants and backsheets business.
Management says it is counting on Singh’s deep technical expertise and more than 2 decades of experience in the solar PV industry to grow the business further. As the CEO, Singh’s team will deliver innovative encapsulant and backsheet solutions for the next generation of high-efficiency solar modules, it added.
“His strategic vision, deep industry expertise, and customer-centric approach make him the ideal leader to guide our Encapsulants & Backsheets business into its next phase of growth. I am confident that under his leadership, we will continue to innovate, strengthen our global presence, and deliver greater value to our customers and partners,” said RenewSys India Vice Chairman & Managing Director Avinash Hiranandani while announcing Singh’s appointment as the CEO.
RenewSys currently operates 5.6 GW of solar modules, 17 GW of encapsulants, and 4 GW of backsheet capacity. In February 2026, Rajesh Singh attended TaiyangNews Solar Technology Conference.India 2026 (STC.I 2026) in New Delhi, where he discussed the role of encapsulants and backsheets in solar cell and module performance (see STC.I 2026: Bill of Materials Gains Importance As Solar Module Designs Evolve).
