Indian solar cell and module producer RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd. has made some changes in its top management. It has elevated the company's Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Nandkumar Pai as its CEO-PV Modules and Cells. He will start in its new role from April 1, 2020 onward. Pai comes with close to 30 years of work experience, including at Wärtsilä India, holding executive level positions.
RenewSys' current Global CEO and Managing Director Avinash Hiranandani will continue to lead the company with a focus on expanding international business. Part of the textile industry player Enpee Group with African origins, RenewSys says it has offices in India, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Africa, UAE, Singapore, UK, China and representative offices in the US, Mexico among other nations.
"The adoption of Solar PV is growing at an unprecedented rate, giving rise to new opportunities and challenges. RenewSys is poised to support this growth trajectory and to better serve our expanding customer base in India and beyond with this move," said Hiranandani on Pai's elevation.
As per the company's website, its production fab in Bengaluru, India manufactures EVA and Polyolefin encapsulants (POE) with an annual production capacity of 1.4 GW, and 3 GW of backsheets. The Hyderabad fab has two production lines for 750 MW of modules and 130 MW of solar PV cells.
