Indian solar PV company Saatvik Solar has expanded the company's executive leadership team with the appointment of a new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this position, the new hire Kuldeep Jain will take charge of the group's solar EPC and IPP projects globally.
Saatvik Solar currently operates a 1.5 GW solar module facility in Haryana's Ambala. It is expanding the module production capacity with the addition of 1.2 GW in Gandhidham, Gujarat. It has also ventured into the solar EPC domain to provide end-to-end solar module installation services.
Jain comes to Saatvik Solar with a work experience of over 39 years across various verticals comprising solar PV, solar RESCO, solar thermal, hydro power, piping projects, among others. He has looked after businesses across India, the Middle East and African regions.
He was previously employed with another Indian solar manufacturing firm Vikram Solar in a similar profile and before that with Azure Power as the head of Project Development, Management and Construction, among other brands.
Saatvik management has tasked Jain to use his leading project development and construction experience to drive its growth trajectory in the renewable energy sector. With this strategic appointment, Saatvik said, it aims to bolster its presence in the solar projects globally.
Saatvik group CEO Prashant Mathur welcomed Jain to the company saying his appointment aligns with Saatvik Solar's vision of becoming a key player in delivering sustainable energy solutions worldwide and become a leading global provider of solar EPC services.
