SolarReserve has promoted Tom Georgis – the Senior Vice President is now the US based utility scale solar power project developer and energy storage company’s new CEO. He has been with SolarReserve for the past 10 years and led its expansion across the Americas, Asia and Australia.
“As a seasoned executive with a wealth of experience in the energy industry and a proven track record of value creation, we are confident that Tom is the right person to lead SolarReserve as it expands further into the energy storage markets,” said Lee Bailey, Chairman of the SolarReserve Board of Directors, and Founder and Managing Director of private equity firm US Renewables Group (USRG).
SolarReserve was previously headed by Levin Smith, who recently joined Lightsource BP as its CEO responsible for leading the company’s expansion in the Americas (see Ex-Invenergy Executive Joins Lightsource BP). Smith continues his association with SolarReserve where he was one of the founding executives, as an executive advisor to the company as per the company website.
