AESOLAR Energy GmbH announces the launch of its latest product series, Eclipse, featuring advanced N-type back-contact (BC) solar cell technology. This milestone makes AESOLAR one of the first European PV module manufacturers to bring BC-technology solar solutions to the market, expanding its diverse product portfolio and offering global customers more application-focused choices.

The new Eclipse series responds to market demand for higher-power modules while broadening AESOLAR’s product range. It complements the company’s established profolio, giving customers more options. The Eclipse series initially comprises two module variants tailored to different installations:

  • ICMD-144BDS: Up to 24.4% efficiency, 640–660 W power output, and 44.67–45.07 V open-circuit voltage.

  • ICMD-108BDE (Full Black): Up to 23.8% efficiency, 470–485 W power output, and 33.29–33.62 V open-circuit voltage.

The Eclipse series incorporates multiple durability and safety enhancements. Without front grid lines, each Eclipse module can generate more power in the same area, making it ideal for space-limited installations. Advanced cell passivation and high-quality manufacturing limit initial degradation to about 1%, followed by a stable decay of roughly 0.35% per year, an industry-leading durability metric. The design also mitigates more than 70% of potential shading-related power loss, while its hotspot-resistant construction minimizes fire risk under partial shading. Furthermore, the modules have a low temperature coefficient (about –0.26%/°C), ensuring they continue to deliver strong power output on very hot days, making the Eclipse series especially reliable in challenging environments.

AESOLAR will showcase the new Eclipse modules at the upcoming Solar Solutions exhibition in Düsseldorf. For more information or inquiries about the Eclipse modules, please contact AESOLAR at sales@ae-solar.com.
