Jinko ESS, a global leading energy storage company and a subsidiary of Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., recently announced the successful delivery of key components of an integrated utility-scale energy storage solution in Western Australia. The solution supports utility, mining and remote power applications, where high standards of safety, reliability and availability are required.

The project builds on Jinko ESS’s established track record in Australia, following the successful integration of more than 100MWh of utility-scale battery energy storage systems in the market by the end of this year. This latest deployment represents the next phase of Jinko ESS’s capability that evolving from equipment delivery to full system integration for complex energy applications.

Jinko ESS provided an integrated solution incorporating its second-generation 5MWh battery energy storage system, together with power conversion and system-level control. The integrated solution enables the coordinated operation of solar PV, diesel generation and energy storage within a single hybrid power system. The project was developed in alignment with relevant Australian standards and safety requirements, supported by early-stage certification planning and local engineering involvement. Jinko ESS’s Australia-based team provided end-to-end support across system design, integration, commissioning and ongoing operation and maintenance.

“This project demonstrates our continued evolution in Australia—from delivering large-scale systems to providing integrated energy storage solutions,” said Dan Su, Head of Jinko ESS Australia. “By building on our earlier deployments, we are well positioned to support complex hybrid projects under the high standards expected by Australia’s utility and mining sectors.”
