The core strength of high-power BC modules lies in their “higher energy density per unit area,” delivering 40W more power than conventional TOPCon modules of the same size. For the same installed capacity, this can reduce support structure and foundation costs by approximately 0.15 CNY/W, while significantly lowering operational and maintenance expenses. In offshore environments, where sea area usage fees are high and construction windows are short, this advantage directly translates into a substantial improvement in return on investment, highlighting BC technology’s innate compatibility with offshore PV applications.
