THE HAGUE, Netherlands, Sept. 16, 2026 – Eternal Sun | WAVELABS has celebrated 15 years of growth and innovation in supplying high-tech solar testing and metrology solutions to laboratories and manufacturers worldwide.
The leading solar testing and metrology company marked the milestone with more than 130 solar technologists from around the world at a special event at its headquarters in The Hague, held during the week of the 43rd EU PVSEC scientific conference and exhibition.
With a rapidly growing global team, an expanding portfolio of advanced solar metrology products, and an expanding international customer base, 2026 has already been a milestone year for Eternal Sun | WAVELABS.
The company celebrated its 15th anniversary by bringing together customers, partners, scientists, and engineers for “Solar, Speed, and Sips”, an informal evening featuring demonstrations of the latest sun-simulation equipment alongside Dutch street food, drinks, and networking.
The celebration also highlighted two significant commercial milestones. In 2026, Eternal Sun | WAVELABS reached an annual shipment rate of 150-200 pieces of solar metrology equipment and surpassed 150 LED-based solar simulators supplied globally – notable achievements in the competitive high-tech segment of the solar industry.
The evening also embraced a “back-to-the-future” narrative, with the Delft Solar Team bringing the latest generation of its Nuna solar car to the event, giving leading solar scientists and engineers an opportunity to see the technology up close.
The roots of Eternal Sun can be traced to solar racing. In 2007, founder and CTO Stefan Roest led the Delft Solar Team to victory in the iconic solar challenge across the Australian Outback. His experience in solar racing provided the spark that ultimately led to the creation of the Eternal Sun Group.
Nuna 4, the solar car from the 2007 race,, is mounted on the wall at Eternal Sun | WAVELABS’ headquarters. Seeing it displayed alongside the latest generation of solar racing and metrology technology provided a fitting illustration of how far the industry – and the company – has progressed.

The oversubscribed “Solar, Speed, and Sips” celebration at the Eternal Sun | WAVELABS headquarters included a cell testing station, LED light soaker demonstrations, and a laboratory flasher – alongside the Nuna solar car.
Roest and Eternal Sun Group also continue to support the Delft Solar Team, including by testing its solar cells and vehicle-integrated photovoltaic modules.
