At an agricultural estate in Lodi, northern Italy, rows of AIKO ABC modules are now generating clean power from a 1MW ground-mounted solar installation surrounded by farmland and trees. Developed for Azienda Agricola La Torre di Rocca Marco, the project was designed to turn available land into a reliable energy asset capable of delivering stable, long-term income for the farm.

For farm owner Marco Rocca, choosing the right solar solution was “an important decision.”

“We wanted something that would truly stand the test of time,” said Rocca. “After Sara Jaciara Azevedo, owner of Jsquare, a consultancy company, recommended the AIKO modules to us and explained their technical advantages, we found a product that immediately inspired confidence — both for its quality and for the sense of solidity it provides. It’s an investment that allows us to look to the future with greater peace of mind.”

For commercial and industrial projects, module efficiency directly affects installed capacity, land utilization, system design and long-term returns. At the Lodi farm, AIKO’s high-efficiency N-Type ABC modules delivered measurable advantages over a conventional TOPCon-based solution:

“Their high efficiency was a key factor, and we were also impressed by their ability to perform well even when conditions are not ideal,” Rocca added.

Beyond higher yield, AIKO ABC modules are also designed for the practical realities of agricultural environments. In ground-mounted farm projects, surrounding trees may create partial shading, while dust, organic residues and other impurities can accumulate on module surfaces and affect power generation.

With AIKO’s partial shading optimization, the modules help reduce shading-related power losses and support more stable output even when site conditions are not ideal. According to the project team, the modules have maintained consistent performance in the farm environment, helping reduce cleaning and maintenance frequency over time.

Safety is another key consideration for agricultural and C&I customers. In complex outdoor environments, conventional modules may face increased hotspot risks under partial shading and high temperatures, affecting both performance and system safety. AIKO ABC modules keep hotspot temperature below 100°C, eliminating hotspot-related fire hazards and providing customers with a safer, more reliable PV system for long-term operation.
