Recently, the 17th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP17) entered its high-level meeting phase in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. JinkoSolar participated deeply in the core agenda, joining global political and business leaders, international organizations, financial institutions, and professional partners at the main forum of the Business for Land Forum to jointly explore innovative pathways for clean energy to empower land restoration, desertification control, and climate resilience building.

The UNCCD, together with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), is known as one of the "Three Rio Conventions," representing the core multilateral governance mechanism for addressing global desertification, land degradation, and drought. With the theme "Restoring Land, Restoring Hope," this session of the conference gathered representatives from 197 Parties, international organizations, enterprises, and scientific research institutions. The Business for Land Forum held on August 24 was the largest private sector event of the conference, focusing on mobilizing business forces and financial capital to accelerate land restoration and climate resilience building.

At the event, JinkoSolar shared practical experiences focus on the business model of PV-based desertification control, solar-storage integration, and green financing. The company called on all parties to collaborate, advancing from PV-based desertification control to smart solar-storage desertification control, accelerating the localized application of proven desertification control experiences in arid and land-degraded regions worldwide, and driving green capital to truly "reach the desert."

This marks JinkoSolar's first participation in COP17 as an observer organization, representing an important step from technology and product export toward solution export, standard coordination, and participation in international governance. From bringing clean energy to desert regions to restoring degraded land, and from delivering integrated solar-plus-storage solutions to helping build a more resilient future, JinkoSolar will continue to leverage leading technologies and sustainable expertise to breathe new life into arid landscapes. Through scalable and replicable solutions, the company aims to advance global land restoration, climate governance, and energy transition
