ISC Konstanz marks first 100 days of Lejo Joseph on its board
Konstanz, Germany – March 2026 – Around 100 days after joining the board of the International Solar Energy Research Center Konstanz e.V. (ISC Konstanz), Lejo Joseph is helping shape the institute’s strategic development, strengthening industrial collaborations and preparing the organization for evolving international partnerships in photovoltaic manufacturing.
Lejo Joseph joined the board of ISC Konstanz in December 2025, succeeding Andreas Halm, who left the institute at the end of November 2025 after 17 years of dedicated service.
Lejo Joseph has been closely connected with ISC Konstanz for many years. He first joined the institute in 2010 for his master’s thesis, later continuing as a researcher working on simulation tools for photovoltaic technologies. Over the years he expanded his role to include industrial collaborations and technology transfer projects, working closely with manufacturers worldwide. Today he also leads ISC Konstanz’s R&D Solar Cell development department.
In his first months on the board, Joseph has focused on strengthening relationships with industrial partners, particularly in the fast-growing Indian photovoltaic sector, where ISC Konstanz has been actively involved in supporting manufacturing ramp-ups and technology transfer.
Another key task is the financial planning of the institute. Together with ISC Konstanz managers Dr. Radovan Kopecek and Petra Weber, he is currently becoming deeply involved in the institute’s financial management and is expected to take responsibility for the development of the annual budget planning by the end of 2026.
These developments come at a time when ISC Konstanz is preparing for changes in its business model. In addition to supporting technology transfer and ramp-up of solar manufacturing lines, the institute increasingly aims to assist partners already at the planning stage of new photovoltaic factories, providing technological expertise, simulation capabilities and industrial experience.
“Lejo Joseph combines deep technical expertise with many years of experience working closely with industrial partners,” says ISC co-founder Dr. Radovan Kopecek. “His international perspective and strong connections to the PV industry will help us further strengthen ISC Konstanz’s role in global photovoltaic innovation and manufacturing.”
