JA Solar’s Shanghai R&D laboratory is now the first vendor in the global photovoltaic industry to receive TÜV Rheinland’s certification for power measurement uncertainty in solar cells. The certification was issued by TÜV Rheinland, a globally recognized independent testing, inspection, and certification organization. The assessment was conducted in accordance with IEC standards and included a comprehensive review of equipment performance, measurement protocols, quality management systems, and personnel expertise under standard test conditions (STC).

JA Solar’s laboratory achieved a maximum power measurement uncertainty of less than 2% (k=2), placing it among the most precise PV testing facilities worldwide. This level of accuracy supports critical functions across the photovoltaic value chain.
