Recently, Jinko ESS, a leading global energy storage company and a subsidiary of JinkoSolar Co., Ltd, has delivered SunTera G2 liquid-cooled battery energy storage systems to multiple projects in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, totaling approximately 65 MW of power capacity and 260 MWh of storage capacity. The portfolio covers both standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) and DC-coupled solar-plus-storage projects. Jinko ESS acted as the BESS system integrator, with Ingeteam supplying the solar and storage power conversion technology.

SunTera G2 is Jinko ESS's flagship liquid-cooling system: a 5 MWh system built with C5 corrosion protection and rated for operation at altitudes of up to 4,000 m. That specification is what Australian sites demand — salt-laden air along the coast, searing inland heat and wind-borne dust, cyclonic conditions in the north. The system has completed large-scale fire testing at full system level and complies with the relevant Australian standards, delivering the level of safety that utility-scale projects are now expected to demonstrate over their entire service life.

The deliveries rest on a close working relationship between Jinko ESS and Ingeteam, one of Australia's leading power conversion suppliers with a well-established local team. Jinko ESS’s strength in system integration, combined with Ingeteam's expertise on the AC side and in grid connection, gives developers a single bankable package: storage hardware designed for Australian conditions, power conversion already proven in the local market, and grid compliance delivered by teams that are genuinely on the ground here.

“Our strategy is to partner with leading power conversion system suppliers, such as Ingeteam, to give Australian customers a full range of battery storage configurations,” said Dan Su, Managing Director at Jinko ESS Australia. “By pairing our SunTera G2 battery systems, which meet local requirements, with power conversion equipment proven on the Australian grid, we give customers the flexibility to choose the right combination for each project. We’re also expanding our work with Ingeteam on DC-coupled hybrid projects that connect solar and storage on a shared DC bus.”

Jinko ESS is a global leading energy storage solution provider and system integrator. In Australia, the company has delivered more than 600 MWh of energy storage and supports its customers through service centres in Sydney and Melbourne, with a dedicated team covering sales, pre-sales technical solutions, project management and after-sales service. Backed by sustained investment in R&D and rigorous quality management, Jinko ESS has been recognised as a BNEF Tier 1 global energy storage manufacturer for 10 consecutive quarters.
