It is reported that at the upcoming Jinko Global Technology Day (GTD) 2026 conference, Jinko will unveil a brand-new cell that is “unprecedented in the world.” Will this be a cell derived from the TOPCon product line, or will it introduce the long-awaited revolutionary technology for the high-end residential market?
JinkoSolar’s major announcement is expected to further solidify its leading position in photovoltaic technology. Qian Jing of JinkoSolar stated, “Nothing is easy, because crystalline silicon technology has already approached its physical limits.” While she did not disclose specific details, industry observers predict that this new technology may push the mass production limits of single-layer crystalline silicon cells to their absolute maximum.
It is understood that JinkoSolar’s Global Technology Day conference will be held on October 17–18 in Shanghai and Haining, with a core focus on new application scenarios, new technologies, new processes, new materials, new AI and quantum tools, and a new era of comprehensive ecosystem competition. Newly appointed CEO Cao Haiyun and CTO Jin Hao will also deliver keynote speeches at the event.
The market also speculates that JinkoSolar will unveil a prototype of its next-generation “stacked” architecture ahead of schedule at this Global Technology Day. Stacked architecture is viewed as the key successor to single-layer technology and is expected to be launched around 2029. However, it remains to be seen whether it will utilize perovskite processes or incorporate other material options to broaden adaptability across application scenarios, accelerate commercialization, and thereby break through the development limitations of traditional single-layer cells.
In addition, JinkoSolar will unveil its “Sunny 365” integrated photovoltaic-storage intelligent system solution at the conference.
