Q: Between TOPCon and XBC, which in your opinion is further ahead on performance both key indicators and real-world generation capability?

Dany: So, by far JinkoSolar has delivered a total of 180GW TOPCon panels Tiger Neo I and II, more than all previous generations of tech combined, we are in a very strong position and deepest knowledge and knowhow of TOPCon which enables us to iterate to and Tiger Neo III easily and much sooner than others. And, in quarters to come, we will shift more of our capacity and resources to Tiger Neo III. With respect to font size efficiency and power 650-670Wp/24.8%, plus rear side bifacility of 85%, I don’t think there are any other models scale now that can match with Tiger Neo III.

Q: What is JinkoSolar most focused on this year?

Dany: With the recent upgrades on TOPCon platforms, we made a pretty great Tiger Neo III of great power 650-670Wp, and we added a bunch of features like 85% bifacial rate and -0.26% lower temp coefficient etc. And the key is that they are scaling up, large volume of this generation series will come out in next months, by end of 2025, 40-50 GW capacity will be built.

Q: Any pricing strategy on Tiger Neo III we expected? Will it be more affordable than XBC in dollars per watt?

Dany: It doesn’t make sense that in every aspect of performance both in front-side power and rear-side bifacility, it is better but charged lower, even though it’s our goal to offer greater products at a more affordable price. 20-30 Watt more justify the premium price. The key is based on a good amount of simulation calculation of LCOE, its price will be good enough to enable a better ROI.

With respect to font size efficiency and power 650-670Wp/24.8%, plus rear side bifacility of 85%, I don’t think there are any other models scale now that can match with Tiger Neo III.

Q: It is obvious that TOPCon is a better solution than XBC for utility projects which maximizes its bifacility advantage. How about the DG rooftop market, where XBC is more confident of its shade-resistant feature?

Dany: Bifacility is a natural extra benefit of TOPCon, 10-15% higher dynamically, hard to catch up. In addition, the front side power and efficiency enhancement of Tiger Neo III to be on par with the most advanced XBC makes Tiger Neo III even greater and more yield gain irrespective of application scenario, because of better low light performance and lower temp/light/UV induced degradation for example which is more frequent affecting factors than shade impact. No one will deliberately design its rooftop system under shade conditions.

Q: Do you have a sense of how Tiger Neo III might ramp up? I know you’re targeting a 40-50 GW capacity of 640 Wp and above this year, how many 650-670Wp modules would be reasonable?

Dany: At least 20-30% of these modules will stand at 650-670Wp by the end of this year.

Q: So I wanted to ask about JinkoSolar’s overseas supply chain of Tiger Neo III forward. And what impact of the US new tariff upon your strategy?

Dany: The initial ramp-up of Tiger Neo III will start in China, and then extend to our existing overseas production lines. With regard to the tariff situation, let’s see how things settle out. But we’re already taking tremendous steps to localize our supply chain. We’re more localized than any other manufacturer, and we have a lot of things underway to increase the localization, to reduce supply chain risk associated with geopolitical uncertainty.

Q: Will JinkoSolar consider BC?

Dany: It’s not going to be necessary, if you have the shorter path towards the same or even better performance goal, why think about others? Make things as simple and reliable as possible.

Q: Is JinkoSolar still on track for securing No.1 sales leadership this year?

Dany: Given the turmoil that exists in the industry right now, we are focusing on releasing the more powerful Tiger Neo III, which means the ramp of this new generation is a priority this year. There is nothing blocking us from starting production within the timeline laid out.

Q: Does JinkoSolar see Tiger Neo III as a winner-take-most market? And how do you expect to compare against XBC's offering, especially regarding pricing, and global supply chain?

Dany: The issue with XBC modules is it costs way more money, but that is the issue. The cost is hard to cut down, made in low volume.  That’s why we must make our Tiger Neo III in a very high volume. I think a 20GW deliverable capacity of 650 Wp and above is impressive. We are the ones to make the bet that a pure TOPCon solution.

Q: What is your long-term and short-term product strategy?

Dany: We think our strategy of providing the best product at a competitive price is going to be a winner, and this is the reason we're still focused on bringing more powerful Tiger Neo III modules of 650-6Wp to market soon. The start of production is planned for H2 2025. Additionally, the advancement in kWh/kW related features should help create a new era of TOPCon.
