According to the announcement of the Tokyo District Court of Japan, Shangrao Xinyuan Yuedong Technology Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., filed a patent infringement lawsuit against LONGi Solar Technology Co., Ltd. in Japan’s Tokyo District Court. JinkoSolar is demanding that LONGi Solar Technology Co., Ltd. cease its infringement actions and be held liable for economic damages by the court.
According to LONGi Solar Technology Co., Ltd.’s official website, the company is a local subsidiary of LONGi Green Energy in Japan. This is not the first time JinkoSolar has taken legal action against LONGi over patent issues. Previously, JinkoSolar filed a patent infringement lawsuit against LONGi in China. The new lawsuit in Japan underscores JinkoSolar’s commitment to protecting its intellectual property rights globally, and to maintaining a consistent stance on this issue.
