From N-type Cell Technology to xBC: JTPV's Technology Evolution and Strategic Upgrade

On the morning of September 22, An Xinrui delivered a presentation on JTPV's technology evolution from N-type cell technology to xBC. The presentation outlined the company's latest progress in successive generations of N-type high-efficiency cell products, BC technology development, and research into key manufacturing processes.

JTPV is a specialized solar cell manufacturer and one of the industry's early movers in the large-scale production of N-type high-efficiency cells. The presentation traced the evolution of the MoNo Series. From MoNo 1 to MoNo 3, each generation has introduced targeted upgrades in cell efficiency, module power, and bifacial energy yield. MoNo 2 incorporated J-WBSF wave back surface field and J-HEP edge passivation technologies. MoNo 3 further integrates advanced metallization, multi-cut cell, and negative-spacing stringing solutions, while adopting silver-coated copper electrodes to reduce silver consumption.

Looking toward the next generation of high-efficiency cell technology, JTPV is advancing xBC R&D through the evolution of its N-type technology platform. The company's work in BC technology dates back to a foundational patent filed in 2012. Following the completion of its R&D line in 2023, JTPV formally began xBC cell development and pilot production. It has since completed three generations of technology iteration, from xBC 1.0 to xBC 3.0, independently established key process steps, and steadily improved core performance indicators.

In intellectual property, JTPV has built a broad BC patent portfolio covering cell structures, electrode design, manufacturing processes, bifacial technology, passivation films, and microstructures. The company continues to research efficiency-loss mechanisms and optimization pathways for xBC cells.
