August 5th, 2026 — Sigenergy, a global pioneer in AI-driven smart solar and energy storage solutions, has recently seen the successful deployment of 11 MWh commercial and industrial energy storage system (ESS) for leading tomato producer Bryte Groep at its ’s-Gravenzande site in the Netherlands
Commissioned on 1 August, 2026, the project deploys 44 Sigenergy Sigen PV 125M1-HYA hybrid inverters and 924 SigenStack BAT 12.0 battery modules. The integrated solution enables Bryte to precisely control energy generation, storage and consumption in real time.
Solving Seasonal Energy Constraints in Horticulture
With extensive grid waiting lists creating bottlenecks across the Netherlands, horticultural growers face mounting pressure from severe seasonal energy imbalances. Bryte Groep’s management explained that while high-capacity lighting is essential in winter, their heavy grid connection remains costly and underused during summer. Storing excess rooftop solar in an on-site battery allows them to avoid low feed-in tariffs and maintain full control over their power strategy.
Sigenergy’s battery technology delivers sub-second response times, enabling instant peak-shaving, self-consumption, and flexible grid support where traditional CHP systems fall short.
Modular Engineering Overcomes Complex Site Constraints
Positioning an 11 MWh installation on a dense horticultural property posed strict spatial and safety hurdles. Local fire safety guidelines mandated that the energy storage units be placed at least 10 meters away from building façades.
Sigenergy’s modular architecture enabled system integrator Stolze and project partners to split the 11 MWh capacity into optimized, distributed sub-systems across the site rather than forcing a single, rigid containerized footprint.
Driving Next-Generation Commercial Energy Storage
The Bryte Groep project showcases how Sigenergy’s modular BESS portfolio empowers commercial businesses to overcome grid bottlenecks, protect their bottom line, and transition seamlessly toward flexible energy independence.
Sigenergy remains committed to accelerating its C&I expansion across Europe, delivering scalable, ultra-safe, AI-driven energy storage architectures engineered for modern business demands.
