September 28th, 2026 — Sigenergy, a global leader in innovative energy solutions, is proud to announce its recent partnership in developing a landmark 48 MW photovoltaic (PV) project situated in Podenii Noi Commune, Prahova County, Romania. Developed in collaboration with Agronatura Green Energy Srl and EPC provider ELECTROPRECIZIA AG SRL, the project marks a significant milestone in Romania’s accelerating clean energy transition.
The project successfully achieved financial close in September 2026, backed by non-recourse financing provided by Banca Transilvania S.A. To power this utility-scale installation, the facility has deployed 106 units of Sigenergy’s advanced Sigen Utility PV Inverter 500H1 alongside 5 units of SigenMVT 11000H1 compact substations.
Sigenergy was selected following a rigorous technical evaluation process. Key factors in the selection included the exceptional conversion efficiency of Sigenergy’s power conversion equipment, robust grid-compliant performance tailored specifically to Romanian grid codes, and a highly compact system architecture designed to optimize overall capital expenditure (CAPEX) and levelized cost of energy (LCOE).
Furthermore, Sigenergy’s commitment to providing reliable, locally oriented technical support throughout project delivery proved instrumental in securing the partnership.
