SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES has received a follow-up order for a TIMARIS deposition system for the production of MicroLEDs. Following the commissioning of a first system of this type by the customer, the company is now expanding its existing production capacities in the USA.
The TIMARIS platform is designed for high-precision deposition processes and meets the increasing demands of industrial MicroLED manufacturing processes. Thanks to its modular design, the system can be flexibly adapted to different process and production requirements.
Lars Lieberwirth, board member of SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG: “This new order underscores the competitiveness of our technology in the MicroLED environment. Our continuous development activities in the semiconductor sector are thus paying off in concrete terms.” “Market studies confirm this development,” Lieberwirth continues. “Analysts at the Yole Group expect the first commercial MicroLED displays to go into production in 2025. This means that the technology is evolving from a pure future expectation to industrial reality.”
Background: MicroLEDs are small, self-illuminating semiconductor components that emit light directly and are manufactured in the micrometer range. They enable displays with high brightness, long service life, and extremely high pixel density, especially for demanding industrial and professional applications.
SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES develops and assembles innovative machines and systems for efficient thin-film coating and surface treatment processes, which are used worldwide in the Photovoltaics, Semiconductor, Medical Technology, Packaging, Glass & Automotive as well as Battery & Hydrogen markets.
The company’s core competencies include various processes of coating technology (PVD sputtering, PECVD, evaporation), surface treatment as well as wet-chemical and thermal production processes.
SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES sees sustainability as an opportunity to position itself with innovative products. In the focus are environmental awareness, efficient use of resources and avoidance of unnecessary CO₂ pollution.
SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES attaches great importance to responsible and sustainable corporate governance.
