During the event, the module passed TÜV SÜD’s Photovoltaic (PV) modules – Partial shading endurance testing and achieved IEC TS 63209-1 compliance through enhanced evaluation by TÜV Rheinland. Suntech was also named a “Top PV Brand in Portugal” by EUPD Research.
These multiple third-party recognitions reinforce Suntech’s technological capability and brand reputation from both product performance and market acceptance perspectives, strengthening its competitive position in the European solar market.
Improved Shading Performance
Shading remains a common challenge in European distributed PV systems, particularly in residential rooftops and small-to-medium installations, where trees and buildings often cause partial shading. This can lead to hot spots, power loss, and increased maintenance costs.
The Ultra T 3.0 quarter-cut module, built on the TOPCon 3.0 cell technology, adopts an innovative quarter-cut cell architecture, combined with ultra-fine grid printing and shingled encapsulation technology. This design effectively reduces power loss caused by partial shading.
According to TÜV SÜD testing results, the module demonstrates significantly improved shading endurance compared to conventional half-cell modules. It is therefore well suited for complex distributed environments, helping ensure stable long-term energy yield.
Reliability Across Climates
Europe’s diverse geography—including hot southern regions, humid coastal zones, and areas with large temperature variations—places high demands on PV module durability and environmental adaptability.
IEC TS 63209-1 is a globally recognized benchmark covering thermal cycling, humidity resistance, mechanical load, and UV exposure testing. The Ultra T 3.0 quarter-cut module successfully passed this enhanced evaluation, demonstrating strong performance in material selection, encapsulation processes, and electrical design.
The product is backed by up to 25 years of material warranty and a 30-year linear power output warranty, ensuring long-term operational stability across utility-scale, commercial & industrial, and distributed applications.
Expanding Brand Influence in Europe
The “Top PV Brand in Portugal” seal from EUPD Research reflects strong market recognition of Suntech’s brand reputation in the Iberian solar sector.
With more than 25 years of presence in Europe, Suntech has established a localized service network and continuously expanded its channel coverage, compliance capabilities, and brand operations in line with Europe’s energy transition.
This recognition highlights broad industry acknowledgment of the company’s long-term reliability, compliance strength, and localized market commitment.
In recent years, Suntech continues to advance its product strategy centered on the TOPCon 3.0 cell technology, further improving module efficiency and overall system performance. The company is also expanding its global compliance capabilities and strengthening its full-scenario product portfolio across residential, commercial & industrial, and utility-scale applications.
Looking ahead, Suntech will continue to enhance product competitiveness through innovation and international collaboration, supporting Europe’s energy transition with high-reliability photovoltaic solutions.
