São Paulo, Brazil — August 25–27, 2026 — The smarter E South America 2026, one of Latin America’s most influential renewable energy exhibitions, officially opened at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, Brazil. Bringing together global solar manufacturers, investors, and industry partners, the event focuses on key topics including photovoltaic development, energy storage integration, microgrid construction, and grid modernization.
Suntech participated with its comprehensive N-type PV and energy storage portfolio at Booth W1.84, showcasing its vertically integrated capabilities from silicon wafers and N-type cells to high-efficiency solar modules and energy storage systems. Through advanced technology and localized solutions, Suntech aims to support Brazil and the broader Latin American market in accelerating the transition toward a cleaner energy future.
Brazil’s Solar Market Gains Momentum
Driven by abundant solar resources and the global transition toward low-carbon energy, Latin America has become one of the world’s fastest-growing renewable energy markets. As the region’s largest solar market, Brazil is experiencing rapid growth in distributed generation and utility-scale solar projects, with increasing demand across residential, commercial & industrial, agricultural, and off-grid applications.
However, Brazil’s diverse climate conditions — including high temperatures, strong solar radiation, coastal salt mist, high humidity, and challenging environments — place higher requirements on PV system reliability and long-term performance. Meanwhile, the rapid expansion of solar capacity is creating new demand for energy storage solutions to improve grid flexibility, optimize energy usage, and enhance power security.
With more than 25 years of experience in the PV industry, Suntech continues to strengthen its presence in Latin America by combining technological innovation with local market insights. The company’s participation at The smarter E South America 2026 highlights its commitment to supporting regional partners with reliable, high-performance clean energy solutions.
N-Type Modules for Diverse Applications
At the exhibition, Suntech presented a range of N-type TOPCon bifacial dual-glass modules tailored for different applications, including utility-scale projects, commercial & industrial rooftops, residential systems, and agricultural PV.
The highlight product, Ultra T 3.0, integrates next-generation TOPCon 3.0 cell technology with a quarter-cell design, ultra-fine grid technology, and high-density packaging. With a module efficiency of up to 25.2%, the product delivers over 20W higher output compared with traditional half-cell modules of the same format. Its bifaciality of up to 90% and optimized temperature coefficient of -0.26%/℃ enable stable performance under high-temperature conditions, helping reduce LCOE and improve long-term energy yields.
For large-scale solar applications, Suntech also showcased high-power bifacial dual-glass modules, including 740W, 650W, and 600W models. These products help reduce balance-of-system costs by optimizing the use of mounting structures, cables, and other components, providing efficient solutions for utility-scale solar developments.
For residential and commercial applications, Suntech displayed full-black bifacial dual-glass modules featuring an elegant appearance, high reliability, and strong resistance against humidity and salt mist. The products are designed to meet the growing demand for both aesthetics and energy performance in rooftop solar projects.
In addition, Suntech presented N-type silicon wafers and solar cell technologies, demonstrating its full-chain manufacturing capabilities and quality control advantages from upstream materials to finished modules.
Solar + Storage for Energy Transformation
As solar deployment continues to expand, energy storage is becoming increasingly important in Brazil to address grid challenges, improve energy independence, and maximize renewable energy utilization.
At the exhibition, Suntech showcased its self-developed SunStorage commercial and residential energy storage systems. Featuring a modular design, high-voltage architecture, and flexible expansion capability, the systems can be combined with Suntech PV modules to provide integrated solutions for households and small businesses — enabling daytime solar generation, energy storage, nighttime power supply, and backup electricity during outages.
Looking ahead, Suntech will continue to strengthen its localized services, technical support, and supply chain capabilities across Latin America. By leveraging its vertically integrated manufacturing expertise and continuously optimizing PV and storage solutions for diverse regional conditions, Suntech is committed to working with local partners to accelerate the adoption of safe, reliable, and sustainable clean energy across the region.
