Tongwei has once again secured a place on the 2025 Fortune Global 500, ranking No. 479. This marks the company’s third consecutive appearance on the list. As a global enterprise with dual focuses on green energy and green agriculture, Tongwei maintains industry leadership in high-purity polysilicon, solar cells, and modules, while also operating one of the world’s largest aquafeed and aquaculture businesses. Its continued inclusion further reinforces Tongwei’s position as a global leader across two key sectors critical to sustainable development.

In a year where the Fortune Global 500 threshold rose to $32.2 billion, Tongwei’s sustained inclusion reflects its strong financial performance, operational efficiency, and global competitiveness. It remains one of the few companies worldwide recognized across two sectors critical to sustainable development.

Tongwei continues to lead the global solar supply chain. In 2024, it ranked No. 1 in market share for high-purity polysilicon and topped global solar cell shipments for the eighth consecutive year, surpassing 300 GW in cumulative shipments. Its solar modules also ranked among the global top five, with overseas shipments nearly doubling.

Technological innovation remains central to Tongwei’s growth. In the past three years, it has invested over ¥11 billion in R&D. Key milestones include the launch of its Global Innovation R&D Center in 2024 and the release of its TNC 2.0 module series in 2025, designed to deliver industry-leading efficiency, durability, and long-term system value. The G12R-66 module offers up to 682.8 W of TÜV-certified output at 25.28% efficiency, while the G12-66 module delivers up to 778.5 W at 25.06% efficiency.

TNC 2.0 modules also deliver tangible project value: 1.42% BOS cost reduction, 1.65% lower LCoE, and an average 0.67% increase in energy yield. Based on performance simulations from a 100MW utility-scale solar project in Madrid, Spain, TNC 2.0 modules demonstrated an additional energy yield of 0.67% over standard TOPCon modules. Extrapolated over a 30-year system lifetime, this results in 48.01 million kWh of extra power generation—a significant revenue uplift that strengthens project bankability and investor confidence.

Tongwei’s ongoing recognition on the Fortune Global 500 reflects not only business resilience, but also the growing global influence of Chinese clean energy innovation. As the world accelerates toward a greener future, Tongwei remains committed to driving the energy transition and building a more sustainable tomorrow.
