TONGWEI has shipped the first batch of its ClearTop anti-dust PV modules, with initial orders totaling more than 50 MW. The modules are being deployed in high-dust environments, including a wastewater treatment plant in Hebei Province and commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop projects in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province.
The first shipments mark the commercial-scale deployment of ClearTop, with products being delivered to Tongwei’s key strategic partners in the distributed PV sector, including Jiangxi Zhenye New Energy Co., Ltd. and Anhui Zhonghao Energy & Power Co., Ltd. To date, 16 MW has been shipped to project sites.
Designed for C&I applications in high-dust environments, ClearTop addresses dust accumulation and the shading losses it can cause. Its short-side surface frame design reduces dust buildup along the bottom edge. More sunlight can therefore reach the module surface, resulting in an average energy yield gain of 1.45%. Also, this helps keep the module surface cleaner and reduces the maintenance burden associated with dust accumulation.
The module adopts a dual-glass structure for enhanced durability and environmental resistance. It improves protection against moisture ingress and wind uplift. The structure also delivers a water vapor transmission rate approaching zero, helping maintain module performance under humid conditions.
Together, these design features provide a more comprehensive solution for C&I rooftops exposed to dust, moisture and strong winds. ClearTop is particularly suited to applications such as industrial facilities and other sites where dust accumulation can affect PV system performance.
With ClearTop now entering commercial-scale deployment, TONGWEI will continue to advance PV innovation and deliver reliable, application-focused solutions for customers worldwide.
